Update 4

Hi, I forgot to tell you the one good thing that transpired yesterday...DAD GOT HIS HALO OFF...MAN, HE'S HAPPY! He has a very intense neck brace on, but it's his only option to stay out of the halo. Hopefully, he won’t have to go back into the halo... only rehab and time will tell.
